GBA Competitions for the present year [including both National Championship Competitions and County Competitions] can now be viewed by any GBA Member (whether or not they have an Individual Account on ‘Gloucestershire Bowls Online’) – so just people wanting to see how things are currently in our County competitions. Indeed, the general public too. No confidential contact details are viewable and the displayed data has no functionality, it can only be viewed. But it is totally up-to-date at the time that it is viewed, as the ‘transfer’ software essentially reads and displays what is on the GBO at that point in time.
Clicking on the link below opens a new tab in your browser (on your laptop, tablet or smartphone) entitled ‘Data Views’. Having opened this, you can then do the following :
1. Choose ‘Men’, ‘Women’s’ or ‘Mixed’
2. All the published competitions in that (gender) category are displayed, with a ‘view’ button to enable the current details to be viewed.
3. After viewing, you can select ‘Area 1 – Gloucester’, ‘Area 2 – Cheltenham’, ‘Area 3 – Stroud’, ‘Area 4 – Bristol’, or ‘Finals’. Finals will be last 8 or last 16 at the County level, according to the relevant competition’s structure.
4. A very few competitions may not be ‘published’ yet, as the draws are not yet made or may be made on the day of a competition, so obviously cannot yet be displayed. A few more may be played County-wide, or may be played North (Area 1 + Area 2) and South (Area 3 + Area 4).
5. The other viewing option is ‘bracket’ or ‘list’. The former is the standard way of looking at competition draws, and is the default.
