The County semi-finals of the Fours Championships were held on Wednesday 21st (men) and Friday 23rd May (women) at Frampton on Severn BC and Henleaze BC respectively.
The County Competitions Team wishes to thank both Clubs for hosting these events.
At the men’s semi-finals, Mike Owen, Cliff Davies, Grant Baldwin and Chris Davies (Coleford) beat Nathan Charnock, Henry Haw, Frank Glass and Simon Watson (Winget) 22-13 whilst the match between two Cheltenham sides finished with an 18-16 win for Dylan Williamson, James Fitzgerald, Dan Holmes and Tom Holmes over Jack Williams, Adam Smith, Mike Holmes and Doug Lewis.
The women’s semi-finals saw a Kingswood and Hanham four consisting of Wendy Boniface, Paula Blouet, Jill Titone, Jan Williams (Julie Castle also played) defeat Hattie Burke, Emily Burke, Erin Burke and Jennifer Kennedy (Coleford) 23-18 accompanied by a 16-8 win for (Gloucester City) Paula Taylor, Louise Blakeway, Barb Whitehead and Rachel Hughes (Babz Clarke also played) over Hannah Smith, Chris Prosser, Renae Evans and Iona Bird (Barnwood).
Draw details are not currently known for the National Championships at Royal Leamington Spa in August, however the men’s Championships will be held from Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th and the women’s from Wednesday 20th to Saturday 23rd.
