County colleagues will be very pleased to know that a significant number of young Gloucestershire bowlers have recently been selected in various 2024 Bowls England trials.

At the prestigious Under 25 level, Finley Williamson of Cheltenham BC has been invited to attend the Under 25 International Trials at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa, on Saturday 18 May.  Tom Holmes, now also of Cheltenham BC, has been listed as also under consideration for selection.  Congratulations to them both.

Emily Burke of Coleford BC was also nominated for the Under 25 Trials, but missed out on inclusion in a strong age category into which she has only just moved.

Finley Williamson is also invited to the Under 18 International Trials at Victoria Park, on Sunday 19 May, along with brother Dylan Wlliamson plus Josh Hodges, all of them from Cheltenham BC.  Erin Burke of Coleford BC has also been invited in the women’s Trials for the same age group.

Finally, two other Gloucestershire youngsters have been invited to attend the Junior Performance Day on the same 19 May date – Hattie Burke of Coleford BC and Lily Ashby of Chipping Campden BC.

Congratulations and the very best of luck to all these young Gloucestershire bowlers !
